Have you ever felt unmotivated, like your life is a never-ending cycle of bad habits and missed opportunities? That was me.

My diet was terrible, exercise was non-existent, and my sleep schedule was, well, let’s just say it was missing in action. So, I decided to do something about it.

I decided to live like the richest CEOs in the world for a week to see if their habits could bring some much-needed structure and productivity to my life.

I didn’t just copy one CEO’s routine. Instead, I identified common themes from multiple successful CEOs, like waking up early, exercising, and practicing mindfulness.

You know, all that “fun” stuff.

This is what happened when I lived like a CEO for a week.

The CEO Routine

What I Discovered

When researching the daily habits of the world’s richest CEOs, I found several key activities that many of them share.

Here’s the list I came up with:

    • Waking up early

    • Meditation or mindfulness

    • Making to-do lists

    • Reading for at least 30 minutes

    • Lifelong learning

    • Eating healthy

    • Drinking plenty of water

    • Exercising daily

It turns out that these habits aren’t just about wealth—they’re about living a healthier, more productive life. Let’s break down how each of these habits impacted my week.

Waking Up Early

The Ultimate Game Changer

I work evenings and weekends at my part-time job (mostly for the social vibes)! So, you can imagine how wild it was for me to suddenly start waking up between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. every day—talk about a system shock!

But, surprisingly, after just a few days, it started to feel like a game-changer. Getting up early gave me a jumpstart on my day, with time to actually focus and feel motivated. Instead of dragging myself through the day half-asleep, I had way more energy and time to tackle everything I needed to do.

It’s one of those little habits that makes me feel like I’ve already “won” the day before most people have even had their coffee.

The whole early-morning routine idea started after I came across The 5 A.m. Club by Robin Sharma.  You’ve probably heard of it; it’s kind of a big deal for a reason!

About the Book:

The 5 am Club is a mix of fiction and self-help, which threw me off at first. It reads like an adventure, following two characters learning life-changing habits from a quirky billionaire mentor.

The storytelling can get a little cheesy, but honestly? I ended up loving it!  Sharma’s style kept me hooked in ways that your typical self-help books don’t.

So, what’s the big takeaway? Wake up at 5 a.m., and you’ll magically become more productive, healthier, and happier.

Sounds intense, right? But the point is to use those quiet morning hours to focus on yourself—whether it’s through exercise, reading, or reflection—before the day’s chaos hits.

Now, here’s the kicker……

I used to hate mornings. I loved sleeping in and would happily avoid my alarm clock forever if I could. But as a busy mom/fur-mom, juggling a near full-time job, plus keeping up with this site and finding “me time” during the day?  HA!  Impossible darling, impossible.

Waking up at 5 a.m. has changed that. I use those early hours to get my workout done, and sometimes I even knock out blog writing before the rest of the world is even awake.

It’s a refreshing shift that I never thought I’d embrace, but here we are!  And you know what?  I love it.

Take excellent care of the front end of your day, and the rest of your day will pretty much take care of itself.

In the end, the message behind the book really stuck with me. Waking up early gives you peace, focus, and control over your day.

If you’re into personal growth and want to shift your own routine, The 5am Club is definitely worth checking out. It got me into the early-bird groove, and I ain’t lookin’ back folks!

Meditation

Finding Calm in the Chaos

I began each day with 30 minutes of meditation. Honestly, I thought it would be boring at first, but it ended up being surprisingly refreshing.

Meditation helped me clear my mind and gave me a sense of calm that set a positive tone for the rest of the day. It felt so good that I even started meditating at night to wind down.

I realized that meditation is one of the key habits of rich people. It’s not just about sitting quietly—it’s about giving yourself time to reflect, breathe, and reset mentally.

This practice really helped me feel more centered and focused, like hitting a reset button for my brain.

To-Do Lists

The Power of Small Wins

One of the easiest yet most effective habits I adopted was creating daily to-do lists. I broke down my day into small tasks, like brushing my teeth or reading for 30 minutes, and every time I checked something off, I felt a surge of accomplishment.

Even small victories can boost your confidence and help you stay motivated. I realized that it’s not just about achieving big things—it’s about celebrating all the little steps that get you there.

Lifelong Learning

Knowledge Is Power

Another habit I picked up from CEOs is the idea of lifelong learning. Successful people don’t stop learning once they’re out of school—they keep expanding their knowledge, whether it’s through reading, taking courses, or learning new skills.

I dedicated time each day to learning something new, both through reading and using Skillshare.

Skillshare is an amazing online learning platform that offers classes in everything from photography to language learning.

Lifelong learning is about continuously feeding your curiosity and developing new skills, and it’s something I’ll definitely keep doing.

Eating Healthy

It’s Not as Hard as It Seems

Eating healthy often feels restrictive, but during this week, I found that it didn’t have to be boring. My partner and I started experimenting with new recipes, like veggie-loaded pasta, homemade sushi, and butter chicken (which was amazing, by the way).

We found healthier alternatives to some of our favorite meals, and it didn’t feel like a chore. Eating healthy not only helped me feel better physically, but it also made me more mindful about what I was putting into my body.

Exercising Daily

Annoying. But soooo Worth it!

Okay, confession time: I didn’t realize just how little I was moving until my Apple Watch basically gave me a digital smackdown. You know that feeling, right? So, in a moment of pure inspiration (and a little bit of desperation), I decided to take on the Oxycise challenge—and let me tell you, this thing is like magic in workout form.

Now, I get it. You be rollin’ those eyes and thinking, “Oh sure, another miracle workout story, Maya.” But hear me out because Oxycise is the real deal.

I’ve done it twice in my life, and both times, I shed weight faster than I ever thought possible and toned up like a goddess. And I am NOT one to get excited about exercise programs—trust me, I’m usually the queen of couch life.

But Oxycise? It’s a game-changer.

Picture this: no equipment, no supplements, no crazy gym routines. Just you, your breathing, and some basic resistance movements. It’s like Pilates had a baby with a breathing technique and created this magical, low-impact workout. And honestly, you can feel a difference in 7 days.

Yep, just one week in, and you’ll be tighter, more toned, and probably already fitting into those jeans you’ve been avoiding.

I know, I know, you’re probably thinking: “If it’s so amazing, why don’t you do it all the time?” And honestly, the answer is simple: I’m human.  And yeah, sometimes willpower is in short supply. But here’s the thing, when I need results fast—whether it’s for an event, a reunion, or just to stop feeling like the Pillsbury Doughboy—I know I can turn to Oxycise!

Oh, and for the skeptics out there: yes, people will notice. Before the pounds even started dropping off, my dad (who never notices anything, bless his heart) and friends were already commenting on how great I looked. The results are that noticeable.

And just to clarify, this isn’t some grueling, sweat-your-face-off routine. It’s low-impact, gentle, and perfect for anyone—whether you’re a fitness pro or a total beginner. The best part? It’s only 15-20 minutes a dayThat’s it!

You’ll feel stronger, more energized, and dare I say, a little bit invincible 😉

So, if you’ve been feeling stuck, unmotivated, or just want to try something different that WORKS, Oxycise is your baby.

I promise it’s worth it, and I’d recommend it with or without an affiliate link (which, by the way, I do have—but I stand behind this program 110%).

Bottom line?

Give Oxycise a try, and in just ONE measly week, you’ll feel like a brand-new version of yourself. Because, girl, you deserve to feel amazing—inside and out.

What I Learned

CEOs Aren’t Superhuman

By the end of the week, I felt more productive, more motivated, and even a little bit happier. But I also learned that even though CEOs have intense routines, they’re just regular people who have found systems that work for them.

I won’t be sticking to this routine 24/7, but it’s a great way to kick-start productivity when you’re feeling stuck. And hey, if it works for the richest people in the world, it’s worth giving it a shot, right?

Final Thoughts

Give Yourself a Chance to Succeed

If you’re feeling unmotivated or stuck, try adopting some of these CEO habits. Start by making a simple to-do list, setting an alarm for a decent time, and meditating for a few minutes in the morning. These small changes can lead to big results.

Remember, CEOs aren’t superheroes—they’re just people who’ve learned how to balance their time and energy. And guess what? You deserve that balance too. Whether you try this routine for a week or just a few days, give yourself the chance to succeed.

So, what are you waiting for? Take that first step, start building better habits, and watch as your productivity and motivation skyrocket.
